We are working on making the process as streamlined as possible (in particular empty container transfers) and expect to have it ready to operate late in the year. Based on strong industry feedback we have decided not to implement VBS during the peak import period, so we are targeting a go-live stage of Tuesday 12th February 2019 for the system to be activated.  Slots will be dropped on the Friday prior to indulge bookings to be made. When operational we expect to see an resurgence in truck turn times as we will have increasingly equipment misogynist to operate the terminal. These initiatives combined with (now compulsory) outbound pre-advise all work together to ensure that our road gate operates as efficiently and smoothly as possible. We are moreover working on the functionality of our truck Kiosk so it can process reefer and dangerous goods containers – we expect this to go-live at the same time as the VBS in February.
